Crystal is not only an amazing mompreneur who I am honored to have had her on the podcast, but a new friend who I absolutely adore! We had a chance to hang out in California when we drove together to a blogger conference and I am looking forward to living in Southern Utah so I can see her more often and soak in all her greatness! By the way- we're moving! More about that soon!
Back to my lovely friend Crystal. She and her husband became millionaires by age 27 and then have gone on to make even more millions leading them to early retirement of sorts, which has freed up a lot of time for her to pursue her other interest and spend endless time with her family! She blogs as Wannabe Balanced Mom and shares her healthy eating tips, has published a meal plan book and still keeps up with the network marketing business she and her husband run together! I told her during our call that her life has me like #goals and it is totally true. I can't wait to get to a point where I can outsource every day things to allow me to have even more fun with my kids- because at the end of the day that's what its all about!
Listen in to hear about her natural births, her mompreneur adventures and her healthy lifestyle which includes DIY kombucha! Thanks Crystal for sharing all kinds of greatness with us!
Brittany shared SO many amazing things about herself from her plunge into motherhood as a stepmother to her two oldest sons, and then her wild ride becoming a mom to two more children of her own creation. I loved her story about how her stepsons accepted her so unconditionally. She shared a sweet story she told from the first days of her dating her husband- the heartwarming words of her stepson made me get chills. You just need to hear it from her. She overcame the fear that accompanied marrying into a family unit and in my eyes has always been so brave and "cool"! Any kid would be lucky to have her as a mom, and I think she is an awesome example of being a stepmom as well.
Brittany also shared her experiences with postpartum anxiety which is so fitting since we've been chatting about mental health awareness this month. I know those things are never comfortable to share but she opened up so freely and expressed what the experience was like for her! I think she's a rockstar, and you will too!
Sarah was SO fun to chat with, and my absolute FAVORITE part of our talk together was when she told the story of loving the book everyone is talking about- The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and what her husband said that made her sad the book didn't really apply to her! You need to listen to hear it, it left me in tears laughing! As a fellow mompreneur in the making she is learning the life/work balance and putting her creative passion into her blog where she gives organization strategies to others to help them tidy up their lives! She is the mother of two and I was SO impressed by how much content she has already put into her blog, - Home Simply Organized, she's a hard worker and I see her doing some pretty amazing things! Listen in to our fun conversation and be inspired to get a little more organized! It's simple! :)
Dana is a fellow podcaster, mompreneur and a complete rockstar in my eyes! I loved hearing her talk, I found her to be so incredibly wise and easy to chat with and I think today is the perfect Mompreneur Monday to share her episode with you all!
Dana is a mother, author, business & content strategist, coach, podcaster, and blind spot reducer. Dana is the author of Boss Mom: The Ultimate Guide to Raising a Business & Nurturing Your Family Like a Pro, and the founder of the Boss Mom Movement. She serves Boss Moms who yearn for more time and less guilt when it comes to building their business and starting or raising their family, by providing the tools they need to get more out of their content and business, without sacrificing their family goals.
When she is not creating new courses or building new strategy tools for creative entrepreneurs, she can be found, chasing her son on the beach, rubbing cheeks with her new daughter, or thinking of the next fun new family adventure.
Heather is absolutely amazing and the thing I love most about her is her modesty about how wonderful she is. While I look at her in awe at what she accomplishes every day as a mother of three adopted children, two with Down Syndrome; she looks at her life and thinks- it's no big deal. This is my motherhood journey! And I think we can all say that, we can all be grateful for our unique situation, for the way we are growing our families, for our individual struggles. It's not glamorous, it's not more important than anyone else's, it's just OUR journey. I think that's the whole point of Marvelous Moms Club, to see these amazing women and realize they are just like us. They are battling the same demons, they are working their butts off to have happy and thriving homes. And while it looks so BIG at times to see others life stories, it's really just a testament to how incredible this life experience is and how blessed we are to have a unique story of our own that we are creating every day!
Heather and her husband share their joy of having these three beautiful adopted kids on Instagram over at Macy Makes My Day which started when her first daughter Macyn was brought into their family. A friend encouraged her to start sharing their lives on Instagram and it has grown to be such an influential and inspiring feed, one that everyone needs to follow!
Heather is pursuing her passion for writing and has a book that will be released next March, so keep up with her and follow her story as it continues to unfold!
Melissa has quite a story and has endured many hard days to become the joyful mother she is today! Through an incredibly challenging pregnancy and postpartum depression she is helping raise awareness for other mothers who may be living under a shroud of doubt or fear. Only 15% of women with postpartum depression will get help or realize they need it. She is working to change those numbers over on her Facebook group and website- Let's Find Joy. I'm so happy she is making the road less traveled a little less daunting for those who need it! And I'm so grateful she reached out to me and shared her story so that I could share it with all of you! Thank you Melissa for using your experiences to ease the burdens of others!
I had so much fun chatting with Summer for this episode of the podcast, she's one of the most genuine and sweet moms I know with a tender heart and big dreams! One of the coolest things about her is that she is a former NFL and NBA cheerleader! That enthusiasm has carried over into her life as a mom and she is now cheering a new set of people on, her adorable kids. Summer shares her mompreneur life as well as insight into some of her mom struggles and some moments that can paralyze you as a parent. She is a strong advocate for her children and her courage is insanely inspiring! Come listen in to her story and I promise you'll love her as much as I do! Thanks Summer- you're amazing!
Katelin is an incredibly talented writer and a friend of mine from high school. Thanks to the power of social media we have been able to watch each other from afar and I've always been so impressed by Katelin's fearlessness (in my eyes) in everything she does. I watched her with excitement (and a little bit of jealousy) when she lived in New York and worked as a nanny. I've loved seeing her become a mother to her sweet boys and was so proud of her fearlessness in sharing her journey with depression. What I loved most about her explanation is how her depression didn't look at all like what she had always thought depression was supposed to be. She kept blaming it on different things until finally she realized she was no longer the person she used to be. Taking those big steps towards change and progress are so overwhelming but the results can be so incredibly sweet. Listen in to hear more about Katelin's story- you won't be sorry you did!
Megan was so much fun to talk to and when she told me about how she prides herself in being a domestic Goddess like her mom I felt like I had known her my whole life. She loves to do the things most moms hate- folding laundry, washing dishes and cleaning her house! It just goes to show how different we all are and how varied our passions and skills are! I loved hearing about her journey to motherhood since it is so similar (almost uncanny) to mine! She is such a sweet mommy to her two adorable kids and I'm so happy to be sharing her episode with you all! Keep up with her on her blog The Stoker Kitchen as well as Instagram @thestokerkitchen!
Savanah is one of my Periscope Sisters aka Scope Sisters and I have grown to love her so much even though the most we've ever met is online! She was a single mom for a short time and worked hard to provide for her adorable daughter. She has learned a lot about herself and learned to love and appreciate the person she is and has rediscovered her self worth. That discovery has pushed her forward towards a life of happiness with her new husband and second daughter! I loved hearing about her experiences as a mother and how she's instilling that same sense of self worth into her daughters. She's amazing and it is with great joy that I share with you her amazing Marvelous Moms Club interview!
Amy was such a breath of fresh air and such a marvelous mom, I had to air her episode before Mother's Day because she really epitomizes the word mother. After being told her odds were less than 1 in a million for getting pregnant she mourned the loss of the children she would never have- but immediately started the process of adoption. Fast forward a little over a decade later and she is now the mother of 7 amazing kids. You need to listen to the whole episode to hear how it all came to be, it is really a beautiful sequence of events!
Amy was recently crowned Mother of the Year for the state of Nevada through a wonderful organization called American Mothers. You can check them out HERE. Amy let me know it's an organization worth learning about and she was able to meet many other mothers who are as marvelous as she, making a positive influence in the world! After speaking with her I know without a doubt she deserved her title and I was reminded of my divine role as a mother and how important it is to cherish this title. I felt her story and her beautiful soul was a perfect fit for today's episode and I know you will too!
Thanks for listening Marvelous Moms! Stay tuned for a possible bonus episode on Mother's Day! You are all amazing, marvelous and inspire me every day to keep becoming the dream version of myself. Have a great weekend!
Today is very unique, I don't ever put video up with my episodes but I felt that for my listeners to get the full effects of this episode I wanted to show everything that happened. You can see the full video on Youtube by searching Marvelous Moms Club.It was such an amazing experience for me and I feel like so many words came into my mind than were ever even spoken out loud by Tara. The energy in the room that day was indescribable and I recommend learning more about energy and energy healing. And I suggest you head over to Tara's podcast to learn, she's amazing, talented and was so in tune with how I was feeling and what I needed to work through. Even re-watching it caused more "stuff" to come to the surface and I let go of a lot. It was a moving experience and one I hope you enjoy. Check out Tara at www.tarawilliams.com to book a session or to learn more! Also on iTunes at The Energy Healing Podcast with Tara Williams! You guys, this might be my favorite episode...because Whippy Cake summed up EVERY good thing...I mean ALL THE GOOD THINGS I have been sharing and felt so passionate about for the past 6 months. She's amazing, and it is with great honor I share her episode with you today! She's the ultimate mompreneur, as the mother of four she also runs her business from home, sharing goodness with the world one video, blog post, Periscope and Instagram post at a time. She's the real deal, someone I want to model my own life as a mompreneur after. Listen to our whole chat, it's a good one!
Whip is, as she calls herself, a "Multipassioniate Infopreneur" which could be why I love her so much. She loves soaking in good information and doesn't limit herself to one particular venture or goal. Starting out as an avid crafter, at the behest of her husband she turned her crafting addiction into a thriving online business. Her entrepreneur journey has shifted and changed a lot over the years but you can still find her "whippin" up lots of great things from beauty tips to decorating and style advice and SO much more.
My favorite analogy of all time will forever be the one she shared about shopping carts and passions. You just have to listen to it to fully enjoy it. And there are so many amazing pieces of inspiration and GOOD STUFF you just really need to stop now and listen. Give it your complete attention. :-)
